We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with Backend Focus to join one of our fintech clients revolutionizing the digital banking space. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a modern, cloud-native banking platform built entirely in-house. If you're excited about designing robust backend systems, shaping microservices architecture, and delivering high-impact solutions at scale, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Backend Engineering & Architecture

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

  • Contribute to evolving a resilient microservices architecture with a strong focus on high availability and performance.

  • Ensure clean, maintainable code through best practices, automated testing, and peer reviews.

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

  • Work hands-on with AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3) and manage infrastructure using Kubernetes (EKS).

  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform.

  • Drive continuous deployment practices with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity.

Collaboration & Ownership

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver end-to-end features.

  • Own projects from discovery through production, ensuring stability and support post-deployment.

  • Mentor junior engineers, champion knowledge sharing, and foster a collaborative engineering culture.

Observability & Reliability

  • Participate in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues.

  • Improve system observability using tools such as Grafana, ensuring reliability at scale.

Skills and Qualifications

Must-Have Experience:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in backend development.

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).

  • Proven experience designing and maintaining microservices in distributed systems.

  • Solid understanding of AWS cloud services and Kubernetes orchestration.

  • Comfortable working with relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries.

  • Familiar with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation frameworks.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of owning complex initiatives.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Node.js or other backend languages.

  • Exposure to frontend technologies such as React and JavaScript.

  • Understanding of observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus).

  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory considerations in financial services.
